Services / Vacuum moulding
The technology of vacuum moulding is used more and more often for the production of packing and advertising products including non-standard products of complex forms and design. Today this method of processing is one of the most fashionable and efficient technological processes in the production of 3D plastic products. This requires special equipment and a good knowledge of the technologies and materials.
The vacuum moulding production process comprises two main stages: production of tools and material moulding proper. Given the requirements of the moulded product quality, the number of copies in the order, production accuracy and price policy, the moulding matrix is made of fiberglass, MDF, various resins, duralumin or combined moulds (e.g. stainless steel and veneer) are used. In the course of moulding the plastic material is heated, becomes soft and acquires the form of the matrix in the course of vacuuming – thus a moulded copy is obtained which is then sawn, milled or cut out, and finally the edges of the product are processed.
Pictures are applied to the plastic before the colour formation of the product. As an option a printed adhesive film may be used, which is press-rolled onto the surface of the product. Various materials, including ABS-plastic, polystyrene, PET, PVC and polycarbonate are used for vacuum moulding.
Our company produces various advertising products using vacuum moulding technologies:
-
POS-materials (supports for various products, dispensers, stands, pylons, elements of promotion stands, etc.)
-
table tops
- protective coverings for the automotive industry.
The advantage of vacuum moulding lies in the individual production, from the moment of design to the final product.
